“Healthy mind resides in Healthy Body” VEERAYATAN MESS, with three dining halls, caters to strength of over 2000 persons at a time, with dining hall facilities for both boys and girls including staff members. The high standard, well-balanced, nutritious vegetarian food prepared in modern mechanized kitchen is served in hygienic conditions. Dinning in the college mess is compulsory for boarders.

A modern bakery and a cold storage are additional features of the mess. Good food is vital for sound physical and mental growth. With a highly mechanized kitchen and a staff of more than 50 personnel’s, it serves nutritive, balanced and pure vegetarian sumptuous meals.

Mess timings:
Breakfast: 07:15 am -08:45 am
Lunch: 12:30 pm – 02:00 pm
Dinner: 06:30 pm – 08:30 pm

General Instructions regarding Mess Facility:

  • Membership of mess connected to each Hostels / Colleges / Schools is compulsory for the students, residing in the campus unless exempted to the extent permitted by the instructions in force. Prior permission must be obtained for any exemption by applying to the Administrator.
  • Any student exempted from dining in the mess, if found there dining without permission, will be liable to pay the mess charges for the full month and will also be liable to disciplinary action.
  • The mess establishment is regulated and controlled by the Chief Warden. In case of any complaint arising out of the behavior of mess staff, a student should not deal with the matter himself but report it to the Warden who will initiate necessary action in the matter.
  • Students should enter in dining hall in proper formal dress and not in informal dresses like shorts/slippers/half pants and patloons etc.
  • In case students are going out of station, they should enter the starting date of their absence from mess. They should also enter the date of mess rejoining after they return.
  • Wastage of food is a national loss. Students are advised to avoid the wastage of food.
  •
